The Aloha House has been providing an Alcohol and Drug Free living environment since 2002. Our recovering director, Kenny Munyon is a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) and is on the property daily to provide guidance and support.

The number one reason for you to come to Aloha House is that we are all about recovery!  Whether this is your first attempt at recovery or you have struggled to stay clean and sober, we are here to help you and know what you need to do to succeed.  We are grateful that many of our former residents have maintained their recovery since living at our recovery residence.  We know what works and will be able to help you if you are willing to take suggestions and put in the effort to help yourself.

Our facility is clean and well maintained.  All of our garden-style apartments have color TV’s and cable service.  Unlike most halfway houses, you will only be sharing your apartment with 1 or 2 other people.  The smaller units have 2 persons and the larger units have 3.  All of our apartments have their own fully equipped kitchens and private bathrooms along with free cable TV and wireless internet access.  Parking is free.  On property is free use of our house computer.  We have a large tropical courtyard where we hold our house meetings and relapse-prevention groups.  On occasion we have special events such as a sponsor/sponsee night where we provide refreshments and encourage fellowship.  Our grill is generally in use every night as we cook and dine in the fine Florida outdoors.

We no doubt have the best location of any recovery residence in South Florida!   You will be coming to one of the largest recovering communities in the world!  Our 12 step fellowships are filled with members with long term recovery who are actively involved with carrying the message to and helping newcomers.  We are located within walking distance to 12 step meetings 7 days a week and there are several 12 step clubrooms in our area.  You will have access to all the recovery support you seek.

Aloha House is located 5 short blocks from downtown Hollywood.  Our downtown is a low-rise tropical walking center with restaurants, shops, gyms and public parks where lots of cultural and entertainment events are held regularly.  Hollywood Beach is a short mile and a half away with it’s famous 6 mile beach, boardwalk and abundant outdoor activities.  We even have 12-step meetings right on the sandy beach!

What is a Halfway House? A halfway house is a supportive clean and sober living facility. It can also be referred to as sober house, three-quarter way house, alternative living facility, 12-step house, recovery residence, sober living residence or clean and sober house. Typically, when a person has completed their treatment at a drug rehab or alcohol rehabilitation program, they would be referred to a halfway house. The halfway house would then serve as a transitional living environment in between treatment and living on your own or returning to your prior residence. Many persons who seek to live in a halfway house do not necessarily come from a treatment program. They may be simply seeking, for a variety of reasons, to live, for a period of time, in a supportive clean and sober environment. At Aloha House, we welcome all persons seeking recovery.
